Bipolar Plate Role
- Supply and discharge reaction gas
- distribute hydrogen and air uniformly through the flow path, and efficiently discharge products after the reaction. - Current Transfer
- The current generated by the electrode is transferred to the adjacent cell to generate power across the stack. - MEA Support and Seal
- Maintain a stable airtightness and contact resistance by uniformly pressing and supporting MEA. - Thermal management and structure maintenance
- Distribute heat of reaction and secure the cell mechanically to ensure the stability and durability of the stack.

Lightweight
- Carbon composite materials are applied instead of high-density metals to reduce weight by more than 50% compared to the same area and increase system efficiency.

- By optimally mixing conductive fillers (graphite, carbon black, etc.) and binders (polymer resin), low contact resistance and high current transfer efficiency were ensured.

- It has a stable composite structure in which metal oxidation or electrolytic corrosion rarely occurs in fuel cell operating environments such as hydrogen, water, cooling water, and oxidizing atmosphere.

Bipolar Plate and Manufacturing Technology of Carbon Composite Materials for Hydrogen Fuel Cells
- A composite material prepared by mixing and kneading a conductive material such as graphite and carbon black and a binder resin, carbon fiber, and a release agent, etc.
